Dales sketchbook

brushpen treesSome drawings I’ve been meaning to put up for ages!

The trees were drawn while sitting in the garden, while the tiny landscapes clambered into my sketchbook pages while on the train back. The slightly bigger ones happened while actually on a walk last summer. We followed part of the Lady’s Way: setting off from Thrang, just past Mallerstang, we looked onto Black Fell Moss, Pendragon Castle nestled in the middle of the valley (almost invisible, middle landscape, last page), Swarth Fell and Wild Boar Fell (last landscape, last page). I love the dramatic place names!
