Sketchbook sea birds: Flamborough Head

flam razorbills and guillemotsFlamborough Head Sketchbook! Bempton Cliffs bird reserve has a beautiful collection of puffins with their crazy beaks, distinguished  guillemots and razorbills (the latter have the fancy eyebrow-stripe and a sharp but thicker beak), wary kittiwakes, and fabulous gannets, the biggest seabirds in Britain with their pristine wings measuring 6ft. Thousands of these birds come here to cling to the white cliff walls, pressing little balls of grey fluff into the sheer rock-face. GANNETS. So fabulous.
