I’ve been working on a project that I can’t wait to share properly and write about more fully. In the meantime, here’s a little painting of my friend Christine Welch (Chinese name: 克麗絲叮), singer, songwriter, poet and Chinese scholar based in Taiwan, with language skills so great it dazzles the ears and eyes.
She has all sorts of cool videos and lovely songs up on Youtube, both covers of popular Chinese songs as well as her own work.
Here’s a little fan-art illustration I did for one of her songs 天鹅湖 (Swan Lake), featuring sweet and inspiring lyrics about a young girl who is laughed at for her great love of ballet, but she’s not afraid to walk her own road and be the best self she can be :>
