Despite our Parents’ Best Efforts

A conversation with my sister from a while ago.

how my sister and I failed to embrace our nationality

Our Daddy loved us anyway.

Our Mum wasn’t really a good Dutch kid herself, so that was ok.

Haha!

Have a lovely Sunday and a great week.

The Best Failed Dutch Kids, them’s US………!!!

  3. My parents efforts to get us into sports or scouts failed miserably too…not very Dutch kids either!

We failed too… Never got any good at skating (and that’s an overstatement). Hockey was only marginally successful. At pony-camp we were outsider-dunces. But if that means we belong to the same category as you (i.e. The Best Failed Dutch Kids… can we join??), it would make me very happy!! Oh, and maybe we can have a London/Oxford meeting of this new society… 😉
